CCTV Camera Price in Qatar: What Drives the Cost

Last updated: 29 September 2026

CCTV camera price in Qatar depends less on the camera than on the whole system: how many cameras, the recorder and storage, cabling, installation and who is legally allowed to install it. This guide does not publish a price table. We did not find current, citable installer price lists for Qatar, so we explain what moves the quote instead. Use it to compare quotes like for like.

Why there is no single price

Online retailers list individual cameras, but a working system is priced as a project. For CCTV installation cost in Qatar, ask for a site visit and a written, itemised quote. The quote should combine these items:

Cost driver What changes the price
Number of cameras Each extra camera adds hardware, cable runs and labour.
Camera type Indoor, outdoor weather-rated, dome, bullet, PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) and vandal-resistant models differ.
Resolution and low-light performance Higher resolution and better night imaging cost more and need more storage.
Recorder and storage NVR (network) or DVR (analogue) recorder, number of disks, and how many days of footage you keep.
Cabling and site conditions Distance, ceilings, trenching, conduit, power over Ethernet switches, working at height.
Brand and support Manufacturer, warranty length and whether the installer is an authorised distributor.
Remote viewing and analytics Mobile viewing, motion analytics, number plate recognition and integration with access control.
Maintenance Annual maintenance contract, remote monitoring, and response times.

Who may install CCTV in Qatar

Qatar’s Ministry of Interior has urged the public to install surveillance cameras only through government-licensed and approved companies. Press reports in April 2026 say 162 companies are licensed by the Security Systems Department, under the ministry’s General Directorate of Telecommunications and Information Systems, and both reports link to the ministry’s list. The stated aim is privacy and security. Ask any installer for proof of approval, and check it against the ministry’s accredited companies list (PDF, April 2026) before you pay a deposit. We have not matched any company below to that list.

Compare quotes like for like

Ask each installer to quote the same scope:

  1. Camera count, type and resolution per location.
  2. Recorder model, disk capacity and days of retention.
  3. Cabling, switches, power and any civil work, listed separately.
  4. Installation, configuration, training and handover.
  5. Warranty on cameras and recorder, and labour warranty.
  6. Maintenance terms and response time after handover.

A low headline camera price can hide separate charges for cabling, storage or licences.

Examples of CCTV providers in our directory

Companies with a Qatar office or registration are listed first. This is a selection, not the full list, and inclusion is not an endorsement. We do not publish their prices.

Serving Qatar (office not yet independently confirmed) includes Al Qimma Security Systems, which states on its website it is the national distributor of Uniview products in Qatar, and Nobel Security Solutions, which says on its About us page that it is registered with the Ministry of Interior (a company claim we have not matched to the ministry list).

Other companies with CCTV listed in our directory, including several serving Qatar, are on the CCTV and access control page.

What to check before you choose

  • Ministry of Interior approval, verified against the current list.
  • A Qatar office and on-site support, not remote-only.
  • A written site survey and itemised quote.
  • Recorder and camera brands, and whether spares are stocked locally.
  • Retention period and who holds the admin passwords (you should).
  • Warranty, maintenance contract and response time in writing.
  • Recent installations of a similar size you can ask about.
  • Arabic and English support if your staff need it.

Regulatory statements come from The Peninsula Qatar (13 April 2026) and a&s Middle East (20 April 2026), both checked 2026-09-29.
